SCJN Varsity Soccer Dominates Saint Mary Magdalene in 6–0 Shutout

Monday, September 14, 2026·DSN Staff

The SCJN Saints were simply too strong Saturday, jumping out to an early lead against a tough Saint Mary Magdalene side and never looking back in a dominant 6–0 CYO victory.

St. Colman-John Neumann's Varsity soccer team made a statement Saturday, rolling past Saint Mary Magdalene 6–0 in a performance that left little doubt about who the team to beat is in the CYO division this fall.

The Saints got on the board early and never gave their opponent a chance to settle in. Despite facing a tough Saint Mary Magdalene side, SCJN controlled the match from start to finish — building a commanding lead before halftime and continuing to pour it on in the second half.

The backline was equally impressive, shutting out Saint Mary Magdalene completely and giving the goalkeeper nothing to do. It was a complete team performance, and an early sign that this SCJN squad has the depth and quality to go far this season.

SCJN JV Saints Hold Off Saint Denis Rally for 5–4 Win

Monday, September 14, 2026·DSN Staff

Saint Denis clawed back to tie it late, but the SCJN JV Saints answered with a game-winner with about a minute left to complete a perfect day for the Eagles program.

It wasn't easy, but the SCJN JV Saints got the job done. In a back-and-forth contest against rival Saint Denis, the Saints held on for a hard-fought 5–4 victory that capped a perfect Saturday for the SCJN soccer program.

Saint Denis refused to go quietly, rallying late to tie the game and send the crowd into a frenzy. But the Saints showed composure beyond their years, responding quickly with a go-ahead goal with about a minute remaining on the clock.

SCJN held on from there to seal the win, completing a sweep alongside the Varsity squad's 6–0 shutout earlier in the day. It was a big moment for the program — and a sign that the Eagles have real depth from top to bottom.
